The 11 plus games company was established in 2013. It has been set up to provide educational games to help children with 11 plus and Common Entrance preparation.
‘Whizz’ card games have been produced by experts, to help children learn vocabulary and maths for the CEM and GL Assessment 11 plus tests and Common Entrance exams. The games are also useful for SATs and any pupils in primary education wanting to extend their word and maths knowledge.
The games allow the player to self-evaluate and correct their mistakes, which consolidates the learning process. An extensive vocabulary is key to success in the exam. In the CEM 11 plus test, approximately 25% of the questions can be synonyms and opposites. These games have been specifically designed to cover these types of questions.
The Zoom card games are designed for year 4 and 5 pupils, preparing for the 11+ GL style, V.R. 21 question types.
Some of these question types are also found in Common Entrance papers. Repeated test papers can be arduous and lead to saturation. The Zoom games familiarise pupils with the types of questions and helps them practice their skills in an engaging way.
